As with many self-built structures, the original planned completion date came and went. The displays and samples intended for the showroom made it here before there was a showroom.
A makeshift showroom was needed - even if that showroom was in the form of a basement and a garage. In fact, this makeshift showroom is where Hill's Interiors would gain its first sale as a business.
After two full years of building, Derald and Kelly had the showroom ready for its November 13, 1987 Grand Opening. Blessed with success, the realization of the need for more space for the growing business came quickly.
Since the completion of the original structure, Hill's Interiors has undergone seven building expansions. With a desire to avoid debt, Derald and Kelly have always carefully assessed the needs of the business and added space as they were able.
37 years later, the square footage of the buildings has grown from the original 3,594 square feet to its current space of nearly 16,000 square feet.
Hill's Interiors is a family operated business to its core. At some point in its history, all 5 of Derald and Kelly's kids have either handled bookwork, mowed the grass, painted siding, installed flooring, or all of the above.
Today, while Derald & Kelly are still much involved, their two sons along with an outstanding crew of highly motivated people are working full time with the hopes of successfully continuing what was started nearly four decades ago.
Hill's Interiors has always strived to implement the biblical principles of honoring your word and doing unto others what you would have them do unto you. They attribute their success to God and make every attempt to live according to His word.
